Nivedita Soni (Class of 2014 ) has recently joined Credit Karma, San Francisco as a Product Counsel. Credit Karma is a multinational American FinTech company based in San Francisco.
Nivedita is a licensed attorney by the Bar Council of India and is also a provisionally licensed lawyer by the State Bar of California. She completed her LLM in Technology, Privacy and Intellectual Property Law from the University of California, Berkeley- School of Law.
In the initial stages of her career, she worked with Samsung as a Legal Counsel for Technology, IP, and Commercial Transactions (South-West Asia). She has also worked as a Senior Legal Analyst with Goldman Sachs, USA, in the Technology, IP, and Commercial Contracts team. Up until recently, she worked as a Senior Legal Counsel for DBT Center of Marin, California. Nivedita has also volunteered as a research assistant for Berkeley’s Gun Violence Prevention Project and as an Editor for LexisNexis California Consumer Privacy Act handbook.
