Gauri Suri (Class of 2020) has started a new position as Legal Associate – Level 2 at PwC.
At PwC, her typical job responsibilities involve working in financial and tax services, merger and acquisition and vetting/reviewing loan documents. She told us that PwC has a great company culture and offers a wide range of employee benefits which are much more than the industrial standards, along with the flexibility to work from home. Despite the long working hours, the work environment is intellectually stimulating, and PwC makes a conscious effort to invest in its employees. As a result, one is able to nurture their professional and personal aspirations with true equanimity. Moreover, they get respite in the form of vacation leaves.
She recommends students to intern at a variety of places- in companies, law firms & under advocates, etc. She is of the opinion that internships are an excellent opportunity to understand all the different career options in law that are available to a student; it helps one understand the career trajectory they want to choose early on.
