Jivantika Gulati (Batch of 2015-2020) has joined Symbiosis Law School, Pune as an Assistant Professor of Law. She had applied for the position in March 2022 after completing her Master of Laws (LLM) in Criminal Law, from Army Institute of Law, Mohali. She had also cleared the NTA UGC NET in the first attempt in 2022.
There were four rounds for virtual selection of candidates. The first round consisted of a demo lecture in front of Symbiosis Law School faulty, followed by a question and answer session. Next was a technical interview which took place before a panel of 5 experts. The third round was an HR interview which was conducted telephonically. The final round was a medical test conducted at Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre, Pune.
Her advice to her juniors at AIL is “to never ever give up. Always remember, life is not always a bed of roses, you will experience challenges and failures in life. But what matters is how calm are we and rise up like a phoenix once again. So, whenever you feel low and your chips are down, that is the time you need to pull up your socks and work towards your goal. Your hard work will never go waste. It will pay you back in some way or the other. Have faith in yourself, be grateful for what you have and last but not the least, believe in God. All the very best, rise and shine always, make a mark in society!”
