Simranjot Kaur Sidhu (Class of 2022) will join Remfry & Sagar as an Associate in their Gurgaon office. She will be tentatively joining by 22nd August.
The application and the subsequent recruitment procedure commenced with her sending a CV to the email address enlisted under the official website of the firm. Thereafter, she received a call for the interviews.
There were two rounds wherein the first one was with two Partners of the firm and the second one was with the Partners and the Managing Partner of the firm. The board of selectors expected basic knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) and trademark law and most questions were based out of her CV, on account of the fact that she has done several IP internships.
On being asked for advice that she’d like to give to the juniors who would be applying for job positions in the future, she said, “if you wish to join a good law firm after college, have a field of interest in mind by your 3rd/4th year, and start streamlining your CV in that direction. Internships are more important than anything else in your CV.”
In addition, she also mentioned that, “if anyone is interested in intellectual property law or wants to know anything about it, feel free to text me any time! I’ll be more than happy to help/guide”.
