Nritika Sangwan (Batch of 2021) has joined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Bangalore as an Associate, A1 in the Private equity team. She has previously worked with Bharucha & Partners, Bengaluru as an Associate as part of Corporate Transactions Practice team.
For students still in law school, her advice is to intern at good law firms. Even if PPOs don’t come through, having a long term experience with the firm and knowing their work structure will prove to be an advantage in recruitment.
For those fresh into the workforce, she suggests that it is important to know all aspects of their CV and the basics of law that they have worked upon. It is also necessary to know the current affairs of the industry. Reading newspapers and subsequent research on current hot topics is expected from them.
