Rashmi Pandey (Batch of 2019) has completed her LLM degree from Hidayatullah National Law University.
Her specialisation was in Corporate Laws with a dissertation thesis on “Globalisation and Atamnirbhar Bharat- Issues and Challenges.” When asked about her experience, she said, “The overall experience was very enriching as we were taught by a very skilled and dedicated faculty. Since the entire session was to be conducted online, our Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan ensured that various workshops be conducted to get the students onboard with the practices and procedures of the academic session. Apart from academics, there were regular seminars, and competitions to keep the students engaged.”
Her advice for students preparing for CLAT PG is to be aware of current affairs. On this, she shared that the exam does not test the depths of knowledge, but general awareness, insight and ability to link static legal knowledge to current legal affairs.
She added that while in 2020, Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law played a major role in clearing the exam, the syllabus is continuously revised by the collegium every year, shifting focus towards legal current affairs and analytical skills. The key is not to know everything about something, but something about everything.
In her words of encouragement, she graciously wished her juniors success in their careers.
The BluePencil congratulates her and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavours!
