Rajesh Jha (Batch of 2021) will be starting a new position as an Associate in the Disputes Resolution team of SAM (Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co). As one of India’s marquee law firms, SAM is a full-service law firm that helps their clients grow, innovate and thrive. For over a century, they have built a reputation for their expertise, specialised solutions and the ability to think ahead.
Before being offered the position, he had interned there twice in his 4th year and had got interviewed for a PPO. The result remained pending due to COVID-19 pandemic and their internal constraints. He worked at Kapil Sapra & Associates, Delhi for an year and now will be joining SAM’s Delhi office in June 2022.
He has some pertinent tips for juniors which will help them become successful in their own respective fields. He emphasizes on the importance of starting early. Early start is an advantage that definitely goes a long way. There is no straightjacket formula for this, but what worked for him was to explore all the options by the mid of his third year, and once he was fully confident that Disputes Resolution was his calling- he channelized his time and efforts towards interning at places he wanted to potentially work at. In essence, one must remember to be consistent and have faith in themselves throughout the process.
The BluePencil congratulates him on this huge achievement and wishes him all the very best for all future endeavours!
