Gurbani Buttar (Batch of 2014) is a Corporate Legal Assistant at Virk Viyas & Associate Lawyers, British Colombia, Canada. She is an internationally trained lawyer who has recently illustrated for the children’s book, ‘Sweets Down the Street’, by Shezda Afrin. Shezda Afrin is a doctor by profession. The book narrates the story of kids of South Asian ethnicity and has a plethora of diverse characters like Sameer, Sara, Jassi and Haroon. The book lays special emphasis on the values of sharing and caring. It has recently been launched on Amazon.com too. This achievement has a lesson in terms of continuing to pursue hobbies alongside careers, for all of us.
