Tanushree Tanwar (Class of 2020) has been selected to join the Indian Naval Academy, located in Ezhimala, Kerala. She has been selected for the JAG (Judge Advocate General) Department, which is the legal arm of the Indian Naval Service. She would be joining the December 2021 course. This is a Short Service Commission (SSC) entry (10 years + 4 years). It was only after three years (2018) that a total of 2 vacancies for Navy JAG 2021 arose and both men and women competed for the same.
