Suraj Singh, Vatsla Singh and Pooja Kapoor, fifth-year students of Army Institute of Law have successfully been placed with Pangea, a legal outsourcing service provider which is a subsidiary of Thomson Reuters. Pangea, founded in 2004, provides legal services and intellectual property services to its clients.
The selection procedure was divided into three parts consisting of Personal interview, Online test and Telephonic Interview. Thomson Reuters decided to visit college on 5th December, 2017 for the personal interview of 18-20 candidates. In this the students were asked questions relating to their academics and other general questions relating to their personal life.
A total of 15 candidates were shortlisted for the Online test on the basis of personal interview which was held on 22nd December, 2017. Among these 15 candidates 5 were shortlisted for tests relating to four departments and ten were shortlisted for tests relating to one or two departments. The four departments were Regulatory Mapping and Compliance, Campus Abstraction, Contract drafting and Litigation Solutions.
After the Online test 5 candidates out of these 15 were again shortlisted for the telephonic interview. In this interview questions were mainly regarding internships and general law like, define contract, bailment, essentials of contract, difference between amalgamation and merger, mortgage, pledge, special leave petition etc.
On clearing all the above mentioned tests three students were selected for the post of Associate in Litigation department namely Suraj Singh, Vatsla Singh and Pooja Kapoor. All three will be joining in the month of June.
