A team comprising of Surbhi Ojha (III year), Sahyaja Malliyoor (II year) and Trisha Mukherjee (III year) represented the college in the 4th VIPS International Moot Court Competition. The moot problem was based upon international law pertaining to distribution of water of an international watercourse, legality of a nuclear test, attachment of the assets of a central bank of another nation as security against the trans boundary harm sustained and the following of WTO regulations with regards to the increase in cess put on imports. A total of 28 teams participated in the moot. The date of submission of the memorial was 27th September 2017 and the competition was from 13th – 15th October 2017.
The Quarter Finals were against GLC, Mumbai and Semi- Final was against Symbiosis Law School, Noida. The final rounds were against Amity Law School, GGSIPU. The judges of the final rounds were Prof B.T. Kaul (Chairperson, Delhi Judicial Academy) and Prof S.K. Verma (Secretary General, ISIL). We were awarded the runners up by Mr. Salman Khurshid.
