Shakespeare had once rightly said, “When words fail, music speaks”.
After the mid semester exams got over, the AILians got the much deserved respite through the vibrant singing competition as a Thursday activity. It was entrancing to see all the unseen virtuosos of the college giving back to back performances. The judges for the event were Mrs Amita Sharma, Mrs Puja Jaswal and Mr Bajirao Rajwade. The event had two categories- solo performances and group singing. Both the categories were filled with exuberant performances. The whole MPH was filled with shouting and hooting by the audience as and when their friends went on to the stage. Language not being a barrier one could see a range of different styles of music. Fifth years stole the show with their heart wrenching performances(it being the last one of their college life). The winner in the solo category was Devyang Bahri 1st year who touched everyone’s heart with his ghazal while the runners up was Aradhya Jain also from the 1st year carried away the audience to a whole new world with her melodious voice, while Aafreen Choudhary and Shaurya Gulati both from the 3rd year won in the group singing category who left everyone awestruck with the perfect synchronization of the guitar with the singing.
The ebullient and high spirited audience added to the success of the event.
