On Thursday, the students attended a seminar on ‘Tips to appear for an Interview’ by Mrs. Serina Sidhu.Interviews are one of the most factors on which any profession is based, and this lecture helped everyone in recognising and internalising on the tips to ace an interview.
The address commenced with the importance of a genuine smile in the first half of the interview. Ms. Sidhu went on to state how a smile and a calm demeanour accounts for twenty five percent of your interview. She suggested that a person should research prior to the interview, this research should include an in detail analysis of the goals of the company and its various wings of functioning.
The golden rule is to never argue or lose temper or one might lose the opportunity. One should also be humble and honest and should understand the culture of the firm and adhere to the same.
These basic tips on body language, verbal and non-verbal communication were definitely of great help for the students.
