On Wednesday, April 27, a Guest Lecture was delivered by Brig. V.K. Korpal, an officer of the reputed Judge Advocate General branch of the Armed Forces. In his speech, he talked about the strength of the JAG Branch that is sanctioned to be 373 officers but has only 190 officers stationed in various cities across the country. He talked about the eligibility that is purely merit based and anyone with 55% and above in their LLB can apply. Following which is an SSB interview and a Medical examination.
Once a candidate clear the tests, he is sent to the Officers Training Academy for 11 months after which he/she becomes a commissioned officer of the Indian Armed Forces.
