Rashmi Kumari and Deepanshu Bhadauria (Batch of 2022) have been successfully placed with Universal Sompo General Insurance Company. Universal Sompo is one of the leading general insurance companies in India. They offer a range of insurance plans including Health, Motor, & Commercial etc.
Rashmi Kumari has got placed in the Chandigarh branch and Deepanshu Bhadauria has got placed in Navi Mumbai branch office.
As part of the selection process, they had to go through two gruelling rounds.
The first round of interview was purely based on legal questions- ranging from CPC, Cr.PC, I.P.C to Constitutional law, which was a curve ball thrown at them because the company had given them a list of subjects to study from and the company barely asked anything from those selected subjects. This round lasted for 20 minutes.
Then for the second round of interview, some candidates were shortlisted. This stage consisted of discussions on various current issues and HR questions.
They also have a few tips for the juniors, they stress on the importance of being always updated with the recent supreme court orders on important laws such as evidence, criminal law, TPA, contracts etc. because since juniors are in this dynamic field, they should know all of these and should be able to answer questions on them with ease. It is unrealistic to assume that one will cover everything under the sun before the interview, instead one should know every single thing on their CV and be confident. If one wants to make it big in the insurance industry -knowledge is a pre-requisite but more than that one must have a very good personality, impeccable communication skills and an ample amount of confidence.
