Anshul Singh (Batch of 2021) and Aaryan (Batch of 2021) have joined Bharucha & Partners, Mumbai as Associates in the Disputes Practice Group and Nritika Sangwan (Batch of 2021) has joined Bharucha & Partners, Bengaluru as an Associate as part of Corporate Transactions Practice team.
Their recruitments were a part of Bharucha & Partners’ Nationwide Recruitment Drive for the graduating batches of 2021, 2022 and 2023. The drive saw participation of budding lawyers from over 20 to 25 law schools across the country. A rigorous four-step process spanning over 3 months was followed leading up to the recruitment of the final candidates from the graduating batch of 2021, screening out and short listing candidates on every stage.
The recruitment drive was divided in the following 4 stages :-
In the 1st stage the candidates were asked to submit their C.V. , a Statement of Purpose and to fill an application Google form enlisting their credentials and achievements. In addition to the above, they were asked to submit a video response 3 minutes long on any one of the 3 topics. The topics were:-
1. Any law you would like to amend and why? 2. Any judgement you disagree with 3. Any proposition of law you found interesting throughout your journey in law school.
The 2nd stage entailed a subjective written test. 5 basic questions of law were to be answered within an hour. There was no predetermined syllabus and the questions asked were based on topics taught in law school. For the 3rd stage an online group discussion for approximately 45 minutes was conducted which lead to further short listing of candidates. The final stage was One-on-One personal interview based where each candidate was interviewed for approximately 30 minutes.
After the end of the final stage, the results were declared and up to 16 graduates were recruited.
