Despite the circumstances that led to the administration’s refusal to conduct it, the efforts of the ever so enthusiastic sports loving students brought back the much awaited – AIL’s Annual Sports Meet. Spanning from the 15th to 18th of June 2022, the sports meet set the college abuzz with activity. Student volunteers helped set up the equipment and readied the grounds, the participants spiritedly prepared for their events and the non-participants cheered their batch mates during matches.
The spirits were high and the air stiff with competition since Day 1. Apart from the obvious urge to win, the participants seemed to have something else that kept them so ardent and fervent throughout the event’s span- the absolute love for sports. The event brought back energy and liveliness to the air of the college; a much-needed breather after the mid semester exams and before the upcoming end semester exams. Day 2 also saw peppy tournaments. The rounds that were to be held on Day 3 were postponed due to heavy rains. On Day 4, the final games were conducted and the closing ceremony was held.
