To the ones who rip themselves open to offer their souls to others,
to the ones who don’t know the first thing about loving quietly or feeling in bits;
To the ones who are told how they’re too sensitive or too vulnerable or just too much;
To the ones with hearts so huge, their love doesn’t remain restrained to themselves: Iam talking to you.
To the ones who are first in line to fill the cracks in others even though they themselves
are absolutely broken inside;
To the ones who refuse to let life desensitise them; to the ones who get excited and squeal,
to the ones who find joy in the littlest of things:
The world may tell you how foolish you are to let everyone walk all over you like that;
They’ll tell you how you’re digging your own grave when you choose to give and give and not learn,
They’ll call you weak,vulnerable,unprotected,too much of an idealist,stupid …
Little do they know,
Little do they know that you are forged from the strongest of metals;
You are stronger than they can ever hope to be because:
you choose to feel;
you choose to get hurt, and come back to feel some more;
you choose to not hide;
you choose to believe in love when the world has sucked everything you had to give, out of you, and given you nothing;
you choose to not turn to stone.
Please trust me when i say, you are rare.
Bravery and strength like yours is rare.
Do you know how much easier it is to build walls around yourself and refuse to leave?
But you? You don’t do that.
You love when they tell you it’s too much;
You kick out your inhibitions and embrace every emotion the universe offers.
Your intensity terrifies them, it scares them because they cannot contain all that you have to give; they are not you.
They tell you how you are too much because they are afraid; afraid to feel like you do.
You are not too much; They are too little.
I hope you never apologise for how much you care and how much you feel.
I hope nobody ever makes you feel like you’re doing
something wrong.
I hope you never doubt yourself because you’re different.
I hope you never let the brutality and hate get
to you.
I hope you realise that you were not born this way and that you fought and struggled to make yourself who you are.
I hope you never forget that you refused to take the easier way out.
I hope you’re loved with the same intensity as you love.
I hope you’re reminded everyday that your kindness and sensitivity do not make you weak.
I hope you realise that you are one
of the few who came out to be what you were supposed to be;human.
And I hope with all my heart that you get all of it back…
Because you,
yes, you,
with a warrior in your heartbeat,
you deserve it the most;
you deserve it all.
The world needs more people like you.
