Pooja Chandran (V Year) and Fury Jain (IV Year) recently finished as Semi-Finalists at the 10th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition, held at the Palais des Nations, United Nations Offices in Geneva, Switzerland from 15-20 July, 2018. Fury Jain was also adjudged as the 2nd Best Oralist for the competition, finishing close after Grace Atwell from the Oxford University, UK.
The team made it to the World Rounds in Geneva after their Memorials were selected as one of the Top 10 memorials in the Asia-Pacific region, and were later adjudged as the 2nd Best Memorials amongst all the 50 teams that made it to the World Rounds (10 from each of the five UN regions). The moot saw the participation of many other prestigious institutions like the Yale Law School (USA), Fudan University (China), University of New South Wales (Australia), Singapore Management University (Singapore), etc.
