You may have heard of them. You may even have seen them. You may have spread them. You may even have created some of them. The one thing however you definitely haven’t done is avoid them. Yes, they’re everywhere. They’re unavoidable, and you must succumb to their powers sooner or later. They’re known by different names. And they’re coming for you. They’re may-mays, meemees or more simply put…… memes.
No one knows where they came from or why were they even born. The fact that remains though is that they’re here to stay. We don’t know who they are or what they want. They’re going to find us and tag us. You might throw away your phone, pack your bags and leave for a Himalayan cave to spend the rest of your days in a vanvaas and voila, in flies a pigeon carrying a letter informing you that your friend has mentioned you in a comment.
No one is spared from this affliction. Be it the President to a wannabe Youtuber, they are going to find you and convert you. Your ‘meme game’ level defines your strengths in this regime. Running a Resistance against this Matrix is going to be of no avail. Eventually, even Neo must submit to this new form of digitised humour. Even if you don’t have a strong meme game, there is going to be an extra generous friend who feels that his only purpose in life is to personally show you his meme collection and expects you to be rolling on the floor with laughter when all you do is exhale slightly more than normal to express your amusement.
The only way out of this tyranny lies in training your mind, body and soul to activate all your hidden chakras and channelize this energy into finding the best memes and sharing them before anyone else could lay their eyes on that treasure. Make sure that every digital action of yours falls into the category of ‘lit af’ or ‘no chill’. Find the best gurus to help you attain this spiritual Nirvana of having a “strong meme game” and train consistently in this art form. Share the best and be the best. This is the sole criteria for becoming a mem(e)ber of this new age.
