The eagerly awaited AIL Annual Sports Meet commenced on the 19th September 2016. Spanning over three days, the meet attracted students from all the batches. The entire college was bustling with activity, with the student volunteers putting up posters and banners around the campus, the participants spiritedly preparing for their events and the non-participants cheering for their friends and aiding them.
Day 1 of the Sports Meet saw the following activities:
Men’s Tournaments
The first round of the Men’s Table Tennis Tournament was held between the 3rd years and the 1st years at 3:30 pm, and was won by the 3rd years. This was followed by the Men’s Volley-ball Qualifier between 2nd years and the 4th years, in which both the teams played extremely well. This was won by the 4th years followed by a match between 1st years and 3rd years, which was won by the 3rd years.
The Men’s Basket-ball Tournament between the 1st years and the 3rd years, in which the 3rd years emerged as winners, proved to be a really interesting game. This match was followed by another Basket-ball match between 3rd years and the 5th years, in which the 5th years won.
The Men’s Kabaddi Tournament which was one of the most awaited events took place between the 1st years and the 3rd years, and was won by the 3rd years, followed by a match between the 2nd years and the 4th years ,in which 2nd years won.
Women’s Tournaments
In the Women’s Kho-Kho tournament, held between the 1st years and the 3rd years, the 1st years emerged as the winners. In the second round between the 2nd years and the 4th years, the 2nd years won the match.
The Women’s Basket-ball tournament, held between the 2nd years and a team comprising of the 1st years and the 3rd years, was won by the 2nd years.
The Women’s Volley-ball tournament held between the 2nd years and a team consisting of the 4th years and the 5th years, another amazing match, was won by the 2nd years. The second match, between a team of the 1st and 3rd years against the 4th and 5th years was won by the latter.
Filled with enthusiasm and zeal, Day 1 came to an end, with all the students returning to their hostels in high spirits.

Day 2 witnessed the following events:
Men’s Tournaments
The Men’s Basketball Tournament held between the 3rd years and the 4th years was won by the 3rd years followed by a match between the 4th years and 5th years in which the 5th years emerged as winners.
In the Men’s Volley-Ball Tournament the first match of Day 2 was between the 3rd years and the 4th years and was won by the the 4th years, followed by another match between the 3rd years and the 5th years which was won by the 3rd years.
Among the three Kabaddi Matches that took place , the first one was between the 2nd years and the 3rd years in which the 3rd years won. Followed by a match between 2nd years and 5th years in which 2nd years emerged as the winners and the last match between the 5th and the 3rd years in which the 5th years won.
In Table Tennis the first match was between the 3rd and the 5th years in which the 5th years won.
Women’s Tournament:
In the Women’s Basketball Tournament the first Match was between the 2nd years and a team comprising of the 4th and the 5th years, and was won by the latter. The second match of the Women’s Basketball was between the teams comprising of the 4th and 5th years and a team comprising of 1st and 3rd years, in which the former won.
In Women’s Volleyball the first match for Day 2 was between the of 3rd years and the 2nd years and was won by 2nd year which was followed by a match between the 2nd years and a team comprising of the 4th and 5th years in which the 4th and 5th years emerged as the winners.
In Kho-Kho the first match was between the 1st years and the 2nd years, and was won by the 2nd years followed by another match between the 1st years and the 5th years which was won by the 5th years.
