GNLU (Gujarat National Law University), Gandhinagar organised a certificate course on “Applied Criminal Law and Procedure” from 24.08.2016 to 28.08.2016, which witnessed the participation of Abhinandan Jain (1574, II year), Drishmeet Buttar (1474, III year), and Gurnoor Singh Sandhu (1411, III year) amongst 120 other participants (including students, advocates, legal personals and professors) from across the country. The afore-named participants from AIL, Mohali were amongst the 5 others from the country to have scored an aggregate of 80% and above in the exam so conducted at the end of the course, securing an “O(utstanding)” grade. The aim of the course was to familiarize the participants with practical aspects of Criminal law by supplementing theoretical aspects with real scenarios and to provide a platform for discussion and exchange of ideas. Study of criminal law being an imperative aspect of law, the participants describe the experience as enriching, considering themselves as fortunate enough to have experienced success at the course and a practical and well-analysed teaching methodology imparting a systemised knowledge in this branch of law.
