The Intra Institute Moot Court Competition, 2022 was an awe-goading and exalted three-day affair organised by the Moot Court Society (MCS) from the 26th of April, 2022 to the 28th of April, 2022. The Moot Proposition was based on Criminal Law primarily dealing with Sections 326(A), 326(B), and 302 of the IPC. An astounding total of more than 20 teams turned their names in for the competition and the first 16 teams participated in the Preliminary Rounds held on the 26th and the 27th of April. There were 2 Preliminary Rounds, winning which 4 teams bagged entry into the Semi-Finals. Subsequently, for the Finals, 2 teams; TC-11 and TC-14 qualified.
The Final Round was judged by acutely accomplished and knowledgeable Advocates; Mr. Sahil Abhi, Ms. Tanu Bedi, and Mr. Aadita Sassankara. After a beguiling Finale, Rupreet Kaur (IIIrd year) and Jannat Hayer (IIIrd year) were adjudged the Winners. They were awarded the Intra Institute Moot Court Rolling Trophy, a cash prize of Rupees 4000, and a Certificate of Merit each. Rupreet Kaur was also declared the Best Speaker and was awarded a cash prize of Rupees 1000 and a Certificate of Merit. Samyukta Shankar(IIIrd year) and Nandini Gupta(IIIrd year) emerged as the Runners-Up and were awarded a cash prize of Rupees 3000 and a Certificate of Merit each. The award for the Best Memorial was given to TC-12 consisting of Khushi Singh(IIIrd Year) and Trisha Hariharan(IIIrd Year). They were given a cash prize of Rupees 2000 and a Certificate of Merit each.
The event was a grand success. The conscientious management, the erudition of the judges, and the stunning performance of the participants; the stalwarts of AIL made the event an exemplary one.
