Covid-19 has really been a buzzkill since the past year. But just as the saying goes when life gives you lemons make a lemonade and let go off the heat! while adjusting to the new normal AILians just knew how to lift up everyone’s spirits (even via virtual mode). The above perfectly describes the Virtuoso’21, online version of the Intra Institute Quiz competition.
The event took place on the 17th and 18th of March. The quiz was held in two stages- Preliminary Rounds held via a Google form and Semi-finals and finals held on Google meet. Seeing an enthusiastic response with over 25 participants, the Preliminary Round was a tough nut to crack with participants getting only 10 minutes to answer 35 questions. Top 8 students qualified for the semi-finals, which were truly a roller coaster ride and put to test not only knowledge but also one’s agility. Seeing the competitors put their best foot forward was really a delight.
This year we had not 2 but 3 prize winners because of the splendid performance put up by the students. While Puneet Sharma (1st year) backed the first prize Omvir Singh (5th year) was adjudged this year’s runners up, Vani Sharma (3rd year) backed the prize of scoring the highest marks in preliminary rounds.
A shout out to all the teachers of AIL especially Ekjyot ma’am for making this event a success! The Blue Pencil congratulates all the winners and wishes them luck for their future endeavors.
