The NAAC team comprising of Rambhatla Venkata Rao (vice -chancellor, NLSIU, Bengaluru), Mohammad Hussain (Dean, Law Faculty Kashmir University) and Harpreet Kaur (Professor, NLU Delhi) finally arrived on 26th August. The students were hushed and asked to keep to their classes. They were seen in their best behaviour. For the two days, every student wore their uniform as perfectly as they could. Hardly anyone could have been seen in the cornidors or cafeteria. The staff of the college was on their toes throughout, trying to make everything as proper as they could; the students co-operated. The team assessed the whole college and its working, checking every nook and corner of the campus. They interacted with the students in the classrooms and with the prefects separately at the end, to understand the system for handling the various problems and grievances that are in place.
The event on 26th August ended with the cultural programme in which the students of the college performed in the MPH. The event started with lighting of the lamp by the NAAC team and the prinpical. The peformances on the stage began with the first year students, dancing beautifully to the tunes of Ganesh Vandana. Next was the melodious singing by the 1st and 2nd years, which cheered up the mood of the entire hall. The audience was seen clapping and singing along. In the end, MPH roared with applause and cheers to the impressive Bhangra performance depicting the culture of Punjab. The NAAC team seemed to be impressed by the talent showcased by the AILians.
The final report by the team was made on the next day, 27th August. It is said that “The harder you work, the greater you will feel when you achieve it”. The same goes for the AIL family. The hard work finally paid off and the college retained their great grade.
