Sharanya Shrivastava (I year) participated in the Rajiv Gandhi National Law University Exagium, 2018, an international essay writing competition. The participants were asked to write a 2500 word essay, and Sharanya secured the 3rd position and a cash prize of Rs. 1500/- for the same. Her essay was titled ‘Tess of The D’Urbervilles: The Woman Pays’, which was based on Thomas Hardy’s book called ‘Tess of The D’Ubervilles’. The essay was themed on how a woman had to take responsibility for all that happens to her, irrespective of whether it is her fault or not.
